The Brooklyn Nets (10-14) are in the kind of position right now where they can go a variety of ways because of how well they have played this season. While the plan was to play for the highest pick possible in the 2025 NBA Draft, Brooklyn has far exceeded expectations, meaning that next offseason could be an interesting one for the rebuilding franchise.
Last offseason, it was reported by various people that the Nets were concerned with maximizing their cap space for 2025 free-agency so that spending would not be an issue if there was a player they wanted to sign. With that being said, there is one player that the cap space could be used for if Brooklyn decides to pivot away from being in a full rebuild.
