Tuscaloosa, AL – The Alabama Crimson Tide rose in the AP Poll one spot to No. 6 following their 83-75 win over the Creighton Bluejays Saturday.
This marks the highest the Crimson Tide have been ranked following their 87-78 loss to Purdue in early November, which pushed Alabama down to No. 8.
The Tide have one currently ranked win, the Houston Cougars, currently ranked at No. 15.
However, three Tide opponents are receiving votes: Illinois (70), Creighton (12), and North Carolina (9).
Both of Alabama’s losses, Purdue and Oregon, are ranked inside the top 20.
Five of the top-seven ranked teams in the country are members of the SEC; three others, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, and Ole Miss, are ranked inside the top 20.
Alabama will take on all eight other currently ranked SEC squads in conference play.
No. 6 Alabama is set to take an unconventional trip to Grand Forks, N.D., to take on the North Dakota Fighting Hawks on Wednesday.
